Thats Mr.Bart to you!
DIY Acrylic TBS FTW!

this was a spert of the moment DIY... done just for fun. this copy was a one off but the next one will be replicatable with a jigg and what not

this one was done 100% by KMM mike therwise known as my brother...

we/he started with a P2R throtle body spacer. and traced it onto a piece of 3/8 acrlic two make up the gesket,

this pic is of two cut out already

then we had a piexe is 1/4" smoked acrylic too so we tossed that in for looks.

here is is cut out,

then glued/lamiated

then the top layer... this is really rough and needed a few hours of sanding...

and it looked like this...

then more sanding...

SAND SAND SAND SAND!!!

and it looked like this

then attentions needed to be turned to the inside..

for this i recommended useing a smaller hole saw with sand paper glued to it wrapped around...

it worked well... and so did the automatic throtle controle...
AKA A ZIP TIE

this was repeted with a finer sand paper then with a scuff pad...

TA-DAAAA!!!

then all polished up!!!

......

and the real reason for this mod!

finaly got to installing it. Looking good!!!

the p2r was borrowed from another member, this one might go into my car or be thrown on ebay depending how the V2 and v3 come out... this only took 3hours total...

This is the craziest **** .. now I want to see if the heat transfer is less due to the materials used. I would assume it will be.

thank you thank you

I needed something to do while at work so I grabbed some left over sheets of acrylic cutoffs and started to trace out the holes, since at work I have a mini matal work shop I used the drill press to bore out the holes, I then toke it home and rough cut the outsides with a dremal drill then as you can see I sanded and polished till I was happy with it

Thats Mr.Bart to you!
all of out projects are done together...

In V2 i will go thicker and add a few ridges into the inside... but leaning from our mistakes... the layers will be laminated first then it will get cut out. first making a master out of ??(MDF or metal plate)?? then useing a table set router, routering it out...

the goal is making a few of them with differant profiles and thicknesses and dynoing them...
