i use OEM bulbs, but I heard that the Lexan bubles up? is that true? I cracked mine in september, dealer replaced it for me and then I bough the Lamin- X to protect it, but it fog lights look brown as in, the lamin - X is burning.. so wouldn't mine do this DIY if it is a perment fix.

Let me know!

Don't spread erroneous information!

If done correctly, the lexan won't bubble or turn yellow. If it bubbled, you most likely forgot to remove the film from both sides of the lexan.

ive had mine on since Nov. w/ no bubbling warping, or yellowing.

i just came out with an idea ,
since everyone is complaining about that the lexan gets bubbled what about if we go to a junk yard and get a broke headlight from any car ,which shoul be really cheap cuz the have no use for it ,and try to get one that is kinda flat ,then just cut the piece we need
i just got my fog light and even before i got em on ,cuz a had the wrong switch and harness , one of the got broken . it really pissed me off
but hopefully this works and we dont have to take off the metal piece around the bulb im gonna try to do it some time this month if some one do it before please report back to us to see how it went

is there a way to just cut the Lexan with a really strong pair of scissors, or is that too hard to do??

My lexan bubbled up after 8 months. I have to cut a new set soon. The best way to cut them is using a dremmel with a cutting bit not the round wheel cutting tools.

Did anyone replace their bulbs with any type of LEDs? That might help with the heat. I also removed the center steel ring to spread the heat but as i said it didnt work.

I think someone here said it worked for them, but I wouldn't recommend that method, what I would try instead is using a solder iron and 'trace' it out. I read someone did it that way

yeah the right way to cut the lexan is using a cutting bit here is a video that i made myself is not really that good but i hope it help u guys
just make sure that the first two ,cut em a bit bigger is most likely that u are gonna miss so this way u can adjust em to the size the should be i go 5 pieces out of a 10x8 lexan sheet also make sure u dont take the plastic of till u are gonna put em in the fog
