i still have the new car smell, (bought in october 06), so no after market fragrances for me. But its a good idea for the future.

put a sheet of bounce in there... it will smell like fresh clothes all the time

cabin filter should be replaced ever 15k miles ....... <--- C-tech at honda but its always up to the owner to make the decision to purchase a new cabin air filter

Great DIY.

I was curious and checked my filter out. One feather, one leaf, and a bunch of dust. For now i just cleaned it with a vac. Later on this week I'll buy a new one.

Excellent DIY. I went out to AutoZone and picked up the Bosch P3875, for $32, came home and had the filter changed out in literally 5 min. because I was taking my time. Also threw in a Bounce dryer sheet for that nice fresh smell. Thank you so so much for this DIY. It saved about $100 at my Stealer.

I just ordered an a/c filter from hondapartsdeals.com for $29.48.... shipping was $11 but that's also with an OEM intake air filter (for like 14 bucks). Didn't even bother to get a quote from the dealership... I know they will try to rape me.

I just bought mine from the dealer, 48 bux... you can probably get it off collegehonda for a bit less.

Here are some pics of the original compared to the new one I just bought.
I have 15-16k on the civic.

(Left is the original, Right is brand new)

Also, as a tip, spray some disinfectant spray (scent of your choice) on the new one.
Of course, this is optional though.

For those that think its no biggie and waste of money. All I can say is... its your health, that all what you and your passengers are breathing. If you go a baby, think of the baby.

Wish I saw this earlier prior to my purchase about an hour ago.
Oh well~

I will have to keep it in mind for the next time.
However, I want to ask. Does that Bosch P3875, fit perfectly?
Got pics because I honestly didn't know Bosch sold filters! haha

Just a heads up for you guys, at Autozone they sell the Bosch P3875 for $30 but at Advanced Auto Parts they go for $20. So you save $10 bucks.
