I live in FLA (hotter than CA, lol) and mine is fine in the hot weather. Be sure not to touch the tape too much or it loses stickiness.

I did it with the tape and it wasnt flush. It also was sticking up on the top corner....im going in for the glue next. My H looks horrible anyways.....half the chrome is missing
