if anyone has a problem with the badge not sticking... the 3M double sided tape with the red backing def did the job... thanks guys. id post pics but im typing on my phone now.

step two:
-once taking care to remove stock emblem, be sure to clean the crevices of the area because it will not be seen or accessible ever again once badge has been installed. you may have a piece or two of the 2 prongs that were once holding the stock badge in place.

When I break the OEM Emblem, will the 2 white prongs stay in the grill area? If yes, how do I remove them without taking off the grill?

instead of guessing where to place the rear emblem and risk having it become off center, i outlined the stock emblem in painter's tape or regular tape if you dont have painters, along the edges of the stock emblem. like how i did with the emblem on now.




this way instead of having to place the emblem in such a big area, you limit yourself to a LOT smaller space. then once satisfied with where you placed the emblem, put a peice of tape over the front of the emblem to make it stay in place to test fit. then measure along the top of the trunk brake light like in the picture below. follow the long blue tape line.



this distance should approximately be 21 3/8" (at least for the emblem i got from robear) on either side or as close as you can get it to. once again, this distance is from THE SIDE OF THE EMBLEM TO THE END OF THE TRUNK LID MEASURED ALONG THE TOP OF THE TRUNK LID BRAKE LIGHT.

once satisfied tape along the sides of the new emblem so you retain the place for when you remove the cover for the adhesive backing.

This helped a lot coz i have the same ocd problem hehe. What's the best way to install the front emblem centered?

yes mine ended up staying there. did not remove them to the best of my knowledge & it will never been seen or noticed so its no biggie to me. however, not noted in the DIY; but when i upgraded to the Mugen Si grille & replaced the OEM silver emblem w/ the JDM badge, i did not have a breakage issue w/ it this time.

being gentle & prying in the right place pays off.

just ordered mine today from jdmland.com. im still kinda nervous about the install though...would you suggest just getting the red backing 3m tape from the start or will the oem tape be fine?

I bought a pair of badges on ebay that were JDM, but now that I'm looking at these I'm not sure it's the same one. Will the badges for the civic CRX work for the new Si?

I was lazy and didnt cover the holes. Im in FL and it rains alot but nothin leaks into my trunk. Technically you dont need to cover the holes

i used 3M double-stick tape; a piece long enuf to cover the holes + an additional bit & its been perfectly fine since day one. its more of a mental thing for me to know they are covered more than anything else.

say, when i was yanking off my front emblem, the lower part of the grill popped out. I tried pushing it back in but it wouldn't pop back. Happen to anyone?

just did my rear and just eye balled it to center.. it's pretty close i think.. i even used some string to tie onto the trunk latch and such to see if it was pretty close to center.. it might be a millimeter or so off, maybe.. but this DIY is great help!
