JDM Trunk Mugen RR conversion

I just wanted to let everyone know that I have access to these parts to do a complete rear conversion as well. For the rear, you would probably need the trunk, tail lights, and rear bumper. What do you guys think about the Mugen RR conversion kit. I am thinking about bring that over. Let me know what you all think about it. I will hook everyone in here up. Thank you.

3 options at moment to consider when doing the conversion

1. JDM conversion base model

2. JDM Type R Conversion

3. Mugen RR Conversion

What is more popular?

hey OP, im thinking of buying the Mugen lip kit for my CSX as well, but i am wondering, the front lip, does it block access to the inner fender of the fog light? (the inner fender is the black plastic part right next to the light thats removable.) In pics it looks like once the lip kit is on, it will block that accecss..

And also do i have to extend my exhaust tips so its flush with the rear lip? or does it look okay with no modification.

it won't block access.

it looks very similar, the only place that meets is at the bottom, the rear quarter panels are obviously the same
For more info on the fitment of your rear bumper check out this thread:

For all I know it's pretty much identical to the fitment on the 08 Si. I dropped by Acura and a guy there did it himself. I'll hit up some salvage yards to see what I can pick up from salvaged CSXs...

I live in Canada , could I buy the. Csx headlight kit from acura here and buy a front bumper that fits those headlights without having to buy the hood and eveything else? More of a F/I section guy so I don't know lol. Might get an si sedan instead of new coupe if I can do this

you have to buy CSX or type R fenders and hood if you put CSX headlight.

I think its a good coversion looks badass for sure id like too see what it looks like in diff colours. Where can you find the front end conversion kit? Rear too ? Thanks in advance for any links.

Now an fa5 with mugen rr kit would be really nice. I don't like body kits really but the ctr & mugen rr are beauty. Especial the ctr wing its nice on the fa5 especially if it didn't leave holes from the stock si wing.

im planning to do the CTR conversion sometime this summer. would a mix of CDM/JDM parts work? i live in Canada so i could find crashed CSXs and just take the parts for cheap.

CSX Hood
CSX Headlights
CSX Grille and Rad Cover
JDM Fenders (CSX would be preferred only if its possible)
JDM Type R Bumper
JDM Fog lights if applicable

would this work? anything else im missing?
thanks in advance!

you will need type R fender if you pick the type R bumper cuz they're 10mm wider on each side. The CSX grill wont fit the type R bumper either. Unless I'm mistaken, only the headlight can be picked up of either a CSX or a type R.

I dont know if the radiator cover of the CSX fits on the type R grill. Nor if the Type R radiator cover fill up the gap between it and the CSX hood. Anyway, if you have to buy the hood from Acura, I'm sure it wont be this cheaper than buying a type R hood from A&J R, plus the type R hood looks way beter. with the type R bumper.

dont feel like reading through pages and pages. But i was quiet lost on the part about bulbs for the headlights. I have an 09 fa. If i were to do the conversion, would the stock 9006 low beam and 9005 DRL bulbs still work?
