uhh.. took out the tube connecting resonator to fender, but even with both bolts out and all the wiggling I could do, that resonator would not disconnect from that other pipe. In the icebox DIY it looks like he dremeled them apart or something... These can actually com apart easy? or am I doing it wrong?

ok so...i tested the temperature of my intake and filter after running my car pretty hard.
after installing the flex pipe its been a lot cooler. most of the time even safe enuogh to touch intake pipe without feeling pain even in south carolina weather. |

I made 200whp on a stock ecu with a DIY. I'm a believer. I thought you were saying they both get as much heat soak, so I curious as to how that happens when you're drawing in air from the same location as a CAI.

it is possible my friend.
proven and shown. cheack out The Un-Official Cobb AccessPORT users community | AccessTUNERS. Mucter made a 224whp CAI MAP, BV1 made a 223whpSRI MAP both fellow beta testers. these are both with race headers. but 200 has been broken with just intake+tune already. |

If nothing else, you'll notice a little improvement in throttle response since there's a lot less piping in the way. |

i removed the rubber connector located under the the filter heatshield. (diy on page 8)
now i noticed a little bit of a gas smell in the car, which went away in about 2-3 minutes. i would assume this mod doesn't hurt the car cause i monitored the engine heat guage, which never went pased the half way mark, exactly where it should be...more or less. I mean i was surprised its like 20 degrees here in jersey. anybody have any input as to why we should no keep the rubber piece connecting the two pipes. ??? |

is this mod better then getting a SRI? its a free mod and it seems like the stock intake will be getting cold air, so i would assume it is correct?
how about this mod + apexi ws2 vs a SRI + apexi ws2? do you think there would be a difference from getting a real sri or doing this DIY? |
