"The Heatshield gasket kit gives you 4-5% more power immediately by lowering the intake temperature." Damn good for $50, but the install is not any fun...

The coolant drains out threw the head/intake manifold... so yes you have to drain the coolant... and that big hose under the intake manifold contains fluid as well. So to answer your question you'll wanna drain about exactly a gallon of anti freeze from the motor and your good to go.... I've seen many IMG installs and it seems like everyone removes the fuel injectors... well it's a waist of time and not necessary... just un hook the fuel lines and your good to go. The only pain in the butt was to get to the bottom water line... Here's a trick that I've never seen anyone do... remove the only two studs in the intake manifold by threading two nuts together and backing the back nut out... this will spin the stud out... do this with both studs and the intake manifold will lift stright up and you don't have to "slide" if off... once the studs are out you lift the intake mani up about 3-4 inches and you can get right under it to get that big coolant line off. I felt like the overall install was very easy.
