Did you buy the FOB or just the key?

Which one did you buy since he advertises some for the Civic that do not fit. I can tell.

Oh, I didn't know you did the DIY already. Any problems? I tried to make it as clear as possible!

That one looks a lot nicer but clearly the buttons are different. You would have to go through the whole programming the key thing. The link I posted is like the OPs direct drop in just move the transponder.

Yea it's like carrying a brick in my pocket. Is your key loose inside? Mine wiggled a good bit.

Yea, it probably won't work. You will have to solder it on or I guess just solder on the wire. Then program it.

Yea, I thought it was going to be better than the original key as far as size goes since it's not as long I don't think..

I think it might wiggle a tad, but I'm slightly OCD and if it wiggled any more than it does I would have mentioned it or drop the project all together.

I took the wireless transponder out of my valet key and glued it into my flip key cause I don't have a soldering gun. I've been flipping for about a good 3 weeks now with no problems.

All I have to do now is add the Pop-Trunk kit cause using my key every time to open my trunk is getting ridiculous. Call me spoiled if you want.

I couldn't do it without the trunk popper...or keyless entry. Been there once. Won't go back.

Does your key not have the trunk button?

I had my valet and the flip key working. One key I messed up so the transponder was bad. Last week, I took the valet key apart and put it in the flip key and took the transponder I soldered to the flip key and soldered it back to the normal key. So now I have two keys that have buttons instead of only one! Yay

For some odd reason, Honda decided not to put a trunk pop on the 2011 Civic Sedan LX models. I mean, come-on man, it's friggin' 2011!

I kept the soldered transponder in my normal button unit and added the wireless. So I actually have two transponders in my Flip-key just incase if the wireless one goes out, I can just pop my board back into the original key fob. "CHEYEEAH!!"
