Would you..?
So I have been wanting to get some things fixed on my car. to name a few: Hood has abazillion chips, two chips are rusting, front bumper is disgusting (chips, chunks of paint missing), many door dents that need to be filled etc.
Well I got a quote today for sanding front bumper and hood, repainting them, sanding, filling door dents, and getting two dents removed with PDR. Total came to $1825.04 With this free PDR removal thing it's $1750.04 Would you get it done or no? I want to but this is all cash money from my pocket. The shop repaired a buddies car and it came out nice. They give free oil changes for a year and "FOREVER" aka lifetime warranty and "FOREVER" free details. Mind you, I take care of my car. It's other people who have done all this shizzz to it. Last edited by negativezeroz; 05-16-2008 at 07:10 PM. |

I feel you. I also got the same stuff as you, but not as many. It's up to you if you think it's worth it to you. I personally do not think it's worth it for me to spend major amounts of money to fix my dent in my door that somebody else did. I get mad every time i see my dent.
I just filled in some of my hood chips with touch up paint. They were rusting too. I sanded it then plopped some paint in there. The chips were dead on the front edge of the hood so i'm not going to sand it down because it's not noticable. I wuold get your rusting things fixed.... and forget about the plastic panels. |

Up to you, do you think it's worht $1800 to fix some paint flaws? Personally, I wouldn't since that's a significant amount to spend on rock chips and whatnot. I'd rather just fix them up myself. May not look the best, but it'd sure beat $1800. I'd rather save up a little more and supercharge my ride rather than fix some chips and dents.
