Paint Issues....

After a 1.5 days of washing and claying and waxing, and scrubbing and LOTS of cursing. I have decided I need a professional detailer to do my S2K. S2K is the worst, I can't even get the cloth to glide over the paint. S2K, that I can't get a smooth surface to it. I need a pro...in NJ Anyone want to take this project on?

Not that you can tell from the picture but this is what the paint looks like and I can't get those marks off the paint.

Someone Fix my car....Come see it and gimme a quote...

Hmm, I had similar red spots when I last claybar'd my car, it took me ten minutes a PANEL to get rid of them, by that time, it looked like my claybar was infected with chickenpox. I don't know if they were the same red spots, as mine looked kinda like pollen.

I had something similar, not as bad.. but similar on a previous client I had that owned a silver Impreza.
All along the sides of his door and sideskirts and the rear bumper were these yellow-ish stains almost looked like spots of rust.
If claybar didn't work, do you by any chance have a Porter Cable?
I got them off fairly easy and quickly with my PC and Meg's Paintcleaner and then a medium abrasive polish.
Paint cleaner can work wonders if you can use it with some speed and create the heat.

I am afraid to burn my paint as I have burned paint before Thats why I need somone experienced who does this regularly. I am concerend about polish, westand, or aggressive claying.. I don't want to make it worse..

YEAH it looks just like tiny rust spots...

You should not worry.
A PC can't hurt your paint unless you KNOW how to wreck it.
If you have a PC, get some megs paint cleaner, use a polishing pad, spread it around on the lowest speed.. bump it up to 6 and work it around for a few minutes to allow the pad to generate some heat and work the cleaner in. You'll slowly start to see it go away, and then just wipe it clean.
Sometimes, it just needs some good work and not the big bucks.

Correct. The only way to describe it is rust spots.

There are three major causes of paint contamination:

1. Rail dust - produced from the friction of train wheels against railroad tracks. Over 70% of new vehicles are shipped by rail. Rail dust can contaminate a new car's finish before it even reaches the dealership. Anytime a vehicle is parked or travels near a railroad it is subject to rail dust contamination.

2. Brake dust - particles produced from the friction of brake pads rubbing against the rotor. This metal on metal friction disperses tiny particles of bare metal into the air and on the highway where it collects on passing vehicles.

3. Industrial fallout - another word for pollution, industrial fallout is a byproduct of our modern industrial age.

Just a random internet sourse looking up paint damage, 1 in 20 light colored cars we see at the dealership has some type of transit damage like that. A pro has to buff and polish the whole car but in the long run the paint is even better because of it.

Yeah, it can't possibly be rust. It isn't on metal. It's a plastic bumper is it not?
Man.. I'm almost positive that 5 minutes with a PC and some paint cleaner will get that off.
often times when my clay bar can't, my PC and paint cleaner can.
