meguires NXT....greasy residue?

this past weekend i polished/waxed a friends car. the wax i used was the NXT 2.0 wax. second time ever using this wax. it seemed to leave a very greasy looking residue on the paint, the regular amount of pressure couldnt seem to buff the paint to a clear shine like it should. i could kind of see haze marks where i had already wiped the wax off.
any ideas? is this wax a greay product? did i not let it dry enough? dry too much?

ive waxed plenty of cars and know what im doing...just maybe this wax is different. if this is a common thing with the NXT, i guess ill have to switch back to zaino. i tried NXT for the ease of use that everyone claims, but the amount and pressure i had to use to remove this wax i mind as well take the time and use zaino. not to mention, the NXT only lasted about a month on my fit before i noticed it was not beading at all anymore.

any detailers feel free to chime in...or anyone using this wax.
thanks!

Hmm I just used it 2 days ago and I didn't find it greasy... What car wash detergent did you use? And I did see it as greasy in only one small spot where i put a bit too much but I used 3 different micro fiber cloths to rub it off. Nothing else comes to mind right now. I suggest you try a different wax next time. Personally I'm going to finish my NXT 2.0 and get a good caranuba wax and use a glaze and a sealant in my process. I will do this before winter hits.

I waxed my car with the NXT wax on Friday, and I experienced a similar result, but Only on my hood. The rest of my car was absolutely fine, no problem wiping it off what so ever. I think it may be because i used a little too much wax on the hood. I just grabbed a clean micro-fiber cloth and wiped excessively to get an even, haze free hood.

Did you just come back from driving the car? Maybe the engine might have heated the hood

I have not had any problems with mine and I've used it on several cars. Just a few questions

Did you do the swipe test before you removed it to make sure it was dry?

What was the weather like? Hot? Humid?

Was this the paste or liquid?

How was it applied? hand? PC?

Also if you are not happy with any Meguiars product they offer a full refund.

Its was probably 60ish degrees.not humid at all.I used the liquid and I did the swipe test, Came clean off with my finger.
Applied and removed by hand.
I might have laid it on to thick, but I would think it would only take longer to dry, but still fully wipe off. This left almost like streaks as if I was claninh windows.

During the summer, VQ Power and I do our car every week. Of course, we are anal and have OCD.

this wax does leave a greasy residue, that you can only see if you really look for...if you go over it with Quick Detailer, it leaves a brilliant shine, much deeper than that of Zaino

This just happened to me, but only on my hood. It was verrry humid even in the garage. Did the swipe test as usual and it was good to wipe off. Everywhere else on the car is fine except on the hood, the car has been sitting all day so not sure what the problem is besides the humidity. Tried going over it with qd, but didn't really help from what I notice.

yah, i can understand that happening in humid conditions. i usually run a dehumidifer
to get the RH under 65% in the garage when it's too humid to apply outside.

was the paint hot? Sometimes hot paint seems to contribute to hazing/greasy residue

i had the same problem with the Black Magic liquid wax Ian. used it for the first time yesterday and i found that i needed to let it dry much longer than the Meguiar's Gold Class that i normally use. if the black magic didn't dry long enough, it was greasy as all hell and took FOREVER to buff off.
