Deep Crystal step 2 is a wipe on wipe off product. You don't want it to dry or it will be very hard to remove. I like to apply it to two panels and then go back and wipe it right off. Make sure you follow it up with a wax as it offers no protection.

usually it only takes about 15-25 minutes for the wax to dry. This can vary by several conditions which is why it's always best to do the swipe test.

Since you are doing things by hand, the polish will be the same as waxing. Usually, you begin to work the polish in as soon as it is applied. Remember too that you polish before waxing, not after. The purpose of polishing is to smooth the surface of the paint to make everything uniform and level. Polish by hand will also help remove minor scratches and swirls.

Are you talking about the Deep Crystal step 2 polish? If so it is a "pure polish" which means it has no cleaning properties and will not remove scratches or swirls. It simply adds depth, gloss, and beauty by nourishing the paint with polishing oils. This step is a wipe on wipe off product like I explained above. Deep Crystal step 1 is used for removing fine scratches and oxidation.

Your steps for optimal results should be

-wash
-clay
-Deep Crystal step 1 (or similar)
-Deep Crystal step 2 (or similar)
-NXT wax since you already have that.

It says that it "eliminates" them. Basically it is filling them in or hiding them. They will reappear after you wash a few times.

Iy you want to remove scratches or swirl ScratchX will be the most effective by hand.

Rasky is right. It will only fill in the scratches, not permanently remove them. If you want to remove them, get Scratch X like he recommended. It does a great job of removing minor swirls and hairline scratches.

Is scratch X a polish ?

I've another question :

What is the best way to remove the thin coat of dust over my car, because it always comes back after I wash it ?

ScratchX is a "cleaner polish"

Detail sprays are great but the dust will still keep coming back...sucks I know.

And if I just remove it with a single microfiber towel...Do you think it will domage the paint ?
