What can I use to clean my chrome exhaust tip?

My chrome exhaust tip (the one that comes on the EX) is all grey and nasty looking. I tried using some automotive metal polishers and such, but it doesn't clean it - just puts a shine over the top of the nasty grey. - only part of my car that I can't ever get clean.

So what can I use to clean it/ give it its original color back?

Like I said, I tried metal polishers - including chrome.

also look at a metal polish called "Flitz" That tarnish is from your exhaust gasses and doesn't come up easy no matter what you use. Regardless of what you end up using, once its clean keep it clean. I keep one of those cheap cotton buffing pads in my console (i have an LX but i spent 30 min polishing up the bare metal tip) and as long as every month or so you polish it with Flitz or something that leaves a slight residue, all you do is wipe the tip once a week. (its a good idea to keep the cotton thingy in a ziplock BTW)

Yeah, I usually keep everything really clean in all my cars, but I got so busy these last couple months that I just didn't have the time - I was giving the rest of my car a quick wash every-now-and-then, but wasn't giving any attention to details - now that I want to give attention to details, I came up with this problem. I really appreciate everybody's help! Looks like I have alot of options - not sure which works best, but maybe I'll try them all and find out so I can let everybody else know!

Eagle One Nevr-Dull. Works like a charm, Got 1 1/2 years of tarnish off my Greddy EVO2. Just takes some time, keeping cleaning the metal, and it'll look brand new.

OH! Now after seeing the can, I recall buying some of that last week - but I never had a chance to try it and forgot I even had it! I'll try that when I get home today!

Got a magic eraser, too, I think!

Tried that can of Nevr-Dull - It's true... My exhaust tip will nevr again be dull! Awesome stuff! I'm sure all that other stuff works as well, but since I had already bought this stuff (just forgot about it), I'll be usin it for a while. I don't think my tip will be nasty enough to try anything else any time soon! Nevr-Dull FTW!
