Was just about to post this same stuff.

In that can is a bunch of packed stuff in it. The easiest way to describe it is like the fiberglass pink fluffy stuff they insulate walls with. You just tear off chunks of it and polish away.

I bought a used Vibrant exhaust on here recently and on the tip was burnt on carbon that was SO hard to get off. It took a while of scrubbing it over and over and over and over w/ this stuff, but it got it off. Also polished up the metal VERY nicely, looked brand new aside from light scratches.
