Thanks for the tips guys. I think I figured it out though. Clean them at night with a streetlight over you. I used to clean them in direct sunlight that dries the cleaner too quickly. I used the same windex and paper towels the other morning when I got to work and it worked great! My windshield is totally streak free. I can't believe it took me this long to figure out how to get a clean windshield.

I put a paper towel on my swifter, the one used for floors not the small duster (saves me from leaning over the dash at all akward angles) and use the vinigar and water mixture.

My window has a bunch of tree sap and little bumps that I cannot seem to get rid of with the car wash soap of windex. What should I use to remove this stuff from my windshield?

I was thinking about using a clay bar to clean my windows, but I dont know if you can use that on windows or if it will even work.

i use (don't hit me) these little sponges you get at AutoZone with the netting around them. You can use them on paint too but only after you use a regular sponge and if your really gentle. They usually get anything off of glass. (oh, and if you've got one of those stubborn bugs that wont come off, just lick your finger and rub it. Your saliva will "digest" the bug better than soap sometimes)

BTW: that's the same cleaner i use too

That sap is all over your paint too. I would not park under that tree anymore.

Is there any difference in quality of the aerosol vs the pump spray for the Stoners Invisible Glass?

i don't know if theres a difference, but I like the aerosol. If you're environment-concious, you may rather the pump.

I will also vouch for the "Invisible Glass" by Stoner. I started using that stuff about 3 years or so ago and refuse to use anything else. I think I have about 5 cans of it in my garage at the moment to tell you the truth. Again, you can't go wrong with this stuff.

while we're focused on the area around the speedo, i'd just like to note that there's a very simple way to get at the stuff that collects in that crevice between the speedo housing and the rest of the dash...a toothbrush on a stick. Just take a thin metal rod and zip-tie a cheap toothbrush to it. Use the brush to get the stuff loose and then vaccum it out.

I've discovered something else that also works really well: the Absorber. You can pick them up at Target for right around $10, and they're great for drying pretty much anything on your car. Just wet it, ring it out, and wipe (don't use any chemicals with it, though)
