Look what you made me do!!!!

After looking at this part of the forum, I had a great desire to try to detailing my car. 100 bucks later this is what I got.

I have a question. I never clay bar before and the box say it can clay up to three cars. Do I cut the bar into three parts and use only a third of the bar for each car? I hope this is possible because I want to clay three cars a Honda Accord and two 8th civic. Thanks

Man this stuff is pricey.

no you dont cut up the bar just mash it together and keep doing that to get a clean side and reduce buildup in one spot

Can I save the clay bar for later to use it on other cars?

I tear the claybar to make it smaller and work with that. If you drop it, it is no good. You need to toss it.

You can use the bar on other cars as long as it is clean and doesn't have a lot of dirt and debris embedded in it.

Watch the pinned claybar tutorial.

Yeah, don't use the claybar in one big lump. Cut it up (1/2, 1/3. whatever). Like was said, if you drop it, that's it, you have to pitch it. That's why I like buying clay separate.

Claybar rules indeed. It's tedious but rewarding. Just don't overdo it! It is a mild abrasive (like everything else).

I love how you have all that Meguiars stuff then the random MOTHERS clay kit in the middle. lol.
Definitely cut the clay bar up because you will most likely drop it. And throw it away if you do. If you just need the clay you can buy it online and not have to pay for the quik detailer and MF towel.

I use that claybar. I just cut it in half, then use that.

It is to remove contaminants from the body. Every have something that decided to attach itself to the body and not come off? Also, it helps remove other contaminants not necessarily visible to the human eye. Seeing is beliving.

Claybarring is amazing. I haven't had the chance to do my new civic yet, but I did on my old Grand prix GTP a number of times. The first time I did it was after my dad had gotten some spray can overspray on it ( he didn't realize how far that stuff can carry airborne). I clayed the car and put on a fresh wax, and when I was done with the hood I set my polish cloth down and it literaly slid off the hood. A car care must for sure.
