Quick repair question

Alright, the pictures I have arent that great and I have yet to actually see this in person... but heres what I know.

My fiancee scraped her side mirror against the while backing out (she isnt allowed to drive my 8thgen)...

anyways, she wants to know if its possible to fix easily in DIY version or if shes better off taking it somewhere professional. Mind you, I will be doing this work if its DIYable... and my repair/detailing experience is very... well... almost non-existent.

below are pictures she sent:

thanks for looking!

it'll probably turn out cleaner if you let the pro's do it. looks like paint is
removed.

just remove the side mirror and hand it to them. probably like $50 cash.
spot bondo, sand, primer, paint, clear.

The pics are kind of out of focus, BUT it looks like the paint is scraped off down to the metal. If that's the case, unless you have mad skills with painting, clearing, wet sanding and polishing, it'll look like crap.

Might honestly be cheaper to just buy a new side mirror, they're usually like $70ish and painting can be kind of expensive. Not sure what something small like a mirror would be though.
