soak the carpet in a pan of warm watter, gently rub the salted area off, throw dirty water away, repeat the steps for about 5 times, use a shopvac which is able to suck the water out of the carpet and then sun dry... worked for me, but it took 2 hours for the 3 carpets... next winter i will garbage bag my whole floor and hope nothing slides around... i also have the genuine rubber mats from honda but salt watter still got on the edge of the carpets

hot water's good.

i also have meguiar's (or one of those brand's) interior detailer that you just rub into the carpets and wipe off... works well too.

I've cleaned mud, salt and coffee out of my dad's car with that.
