http://www.5starshine.com/info-quixx...mover-ppc.html

Some members on scionlife have used them and they said it works wonderfully.
any of you tried this yet?

looks alright from the site, but i wouldnt recommend that to a n00b as it required sanding. anytime sanding and paint go together i would be very cautious.
the saem results of that kit can be done by using a fine grade sandpaper, scratch-x, a microfiber towel, and a wax

no no it says only for deep scratches you need to sand down thedamaged part and then applied product 1 and then product 2

well, deep scratch or not, it requires sending for its products full potntial. and if your getting that kit to just remove lighter scrtaches...you mind as well save 10 bucks and buy scratch-x.

no it doesn't lol
it just says applied product #1 with some pressure, then wash whatever product was left off, then apply product number 2.
But with deep scratches, you need to use their wet-sanding sheet that also comes w/the product.

It is only a filler, it doesnt fix shit.

The only way to remove swirls or light scratches are with polish and an orbital or rotary (if you know what you are doing). And with the super soft Honda paint, it does not take very abrassive polish either.

If the scratch is through the clear coat and the paint then no amount of filler will make it look good.

If it sounds too good to be true, then it is.

LOL @ $20 fix that will save you thousands $

ugh, whatever. im not going to argue this, but this is not a product for any detailer to just pick up and use. if a scratch on a car requires any kind of sanding, make sure you know what your doing. it is a little more diffucult to get perfect results than a small instruction sheet can give you. it takes practice.

this is not true...just a week ago i took out a rather deep scrtach in a firends s2k at a meet. i did it in a matter fo 5 minutes with scratch-x and a microfiber towel. the scratch was still slightly visible, but it was 90% better and probably could have been perfect if i took my time to use a finer polish and glaze.

After the guys at the detailing shop laugh at you, try and remember the lesson you were supposed to learn. There are no quick fixes or bodyshops and detailers would be out of work.

save yourself the time and effort. get youself some 2k+ sandpaper, water, scratch-x, meguires "step 2" polish, and some wax. you will get the same result as that "kit". its jsut a marketing scheme to sell it as a bundle.

I said the only way to remove....scratchx is just another filler....it fixes nothing. After you go to polish that car again before your next wax that scratch will be noticeable again. I have been detailing cars for over 15 years. My own personal Honda/Acura cars for the last 7. Think what you will, but if you talk to people that do it for a living they will agree with me. No professional detailer has scratchx in his product cabinet.

yes, i know it will not "fix" it. but it will make it less noticable. and it will permanatly round off the edges off the scratch making it less noticable whether it is recently waxed or not.

and im sure a prefessioanl detailer has a product that is somewhat equal to scratch-x, its just probably not an off-the-shelf product.

i have a 06 nbp Si and swirl marks and light scratches are easily visable on it i love the prima line of products the swirl product by prima is really good at getting rid of swirl marks and light scratches. it goes on very easy with a orbital buffer. taking it off does require some work. bt the results are good

4th shelf up on the right...i would say that machine polish 3 is about equal to scratchx. (assuming that 1 = fine, 4 = course)

and anythign "ice" is far from being professional quality. it should proabaly remove from that otherwise flawless product lineup.

negative ghost rider, a pure polish is not a filler

I used the quixx scratch remover on my car. I had a fairly big stone chip in my hood. I filled it in with touchup so it was slightly raised above the original paint surface. Then i used the 3000 grit sandpaper and ever so lightly wetsanded ONLY the filled in part until it was level with the original paint.

Then I used the quixx stage one and it made the spot blend in so you could barely see it, but the surface was missing a little of its shine. No problem though that it whats supposed to happen.

Then you take the stage 2 Quixx polish and apply that and when you are done if you took your time ONLY you will know where the spot that you fixed was.

Dont knock a product until you try it.

The chip that i fixed was down to BARE METAL.
