Best way to get rid of this scratch?

Went to the car wash last night, everything was perfectly fine, later that night I went to the movies, this morning I was getting into my car and I noticed a scratch on the side, here's a pic:

Anyone know the best way to fix this? I've never fixed scratches before. I hear the touch up paint would be noticeable.

either get touch up, or prepare to pay for the entire door.

Since it's just white, and I feel barely any indentation, wouldn't it just be the clear coat?

I think it's down to the primer. A little more involved, but at least it's not dented and bare metal.

thats deep, it was either keyed or someone had a sharp belt buckle. Anyway you need to bring it to a professional, it might rust too

It's an eyesore... not really ...but now I know it's there, I just can't get it out of my head. Has anyone done any business with Maaco? My check on them. I wonder how it would work though -- will they match the paint themselves or...? They're closed on Sundays, I'll give them a call tomorrow.

Hmmm I might be leery about Maaco. They seem like the McDonalds of auto-body work. I don't know where you are, but True2Form is a good shop in OH/NC/MD/PA and maybe a few other states. I've had work done by them a few times and it has been perfect. My .02.

I live in Colorado--hopefully someone who lives here will see this thread and give a suggestion of a good place. I wonder how much this would cost to fix? And how long it would take to fix. I wanna get back on campus by this Saturday. Thanks for the replies everyone.

Maaco's work is to autobody as to what McDonald's food is to good health!! The only thing worse than Maaco is Earl Scheib. I think Helen Keller could've done a better paint job than either one of them.

Stupid pop up ads from that stupid site.

Anway, from a professional point of view, you can try to get someone who is knowledgeable in that field (polishing) to try to get that out, but don't trust just anyone. Sure, any Joe Blow can pick up a polisher and whip up some compound and burn right through our thin clear coats, so BE CAREFUL WHO YOU CHOOSE!!!

I would try the finger nail test first. Go along the scratch with your finger nail, and if it feels TOO deep then it would have to get painted.

I don't feel anything at all until I reach the end of the scratch and barely feel anything...
