New to Cleaning & Maintaining.

hey i just bought an 07 lx 2dr my frist new car so i i'm gonna obviously baby it.

pretty much i want to find out the proper routine for cleaning and maintaining my cars exterior and interior. i usually just go to the car washes due to my other cars being used.

I wanna kno proper steps and sequence and what products to use:

ex:
Wash
Clay Bar
Polish
Wax

but with what brand??? also what cleaning materials etc

also should i use products like 303 and 3m for interior and/or exterior.

whats your guys take on the paint film? (i noticed its pricey is it worth it?)

i been browsing and reading trying to get familiar but would appreciate some suggestions!

thanks

I use Zaino, but a lot of people here use Meguiars NXT and it looks very good. It's rather quick to apply, and looks very nice.

303 for interiors is awesome. Just got a bottle last week, and I'm stunned. Does a good cleaning, and finishes nicely. I always just vaccuum the interior, as that gets the job mostly done. If i was really anal about it, I'd also use a lint brush.

Your steps appear fine.

For starter, I'd recommend read the top 4 sticky threads. Good luck.

Those 4 things you listed can be any brand, really. Any OTC is going to give you awesome results!

What's really going to ensure good looking paint also depends on how you drive your car, like staying away from big cars that bring up rocks, and parking away from cars to avoid dings and dents.
