Sunshade? I've never used one, but just throwing it out there. Tint the side and rear windows?

I live in Georgia and it gets pretty hot here. I've got a couple of suggestions.
1.) Get windows tinted
2.) Get window shade.....works great
3.) crack windows
4.) tilt sunroof but keep the sun blocker thingy almost closed
5.) park in the shade

I have my windows tinted 30% and i use the sun shade. STILL... its hot in my car... so hot its kinda hard to breathe. I cant even imagine how hot it would be without all that. This was back last week when the NorthEast had that heatwave.

Don't leave the garage.

Seriously though. Heatshield makes custom sunshades. I got mine at the dealership for $30. It works great. And I live in AZ, so I know all about the hot dry sun...

yeah, the sunshade for the windshield works pretty good. I forgot to put it on one day and the inside was 10x hotter then normal, yuck!

I was in wallyworld today and saw that "Solar powered Fan" deal that hangs on your window and blows out the hot air. Has anyone tried that? I'm always skeptical about things that start out as infomercials.

I put on some Window visors, keep the windows open a crack and the difference in temp is awesome. Can keep them open a crack during a rain storm too.

Getting air circulation is key, move the hot air out of the car and it stays cooler. Even a few degrees cooler is noice.

Just my two cents.

Yeah, I'd agree with the sun shade and keeping the sunroof cracked.

I just hate to leave a window cracked, because thieves think of it as an opening :X

And usually what I do if I'm parked under the sun is if I have time before driving away, I turn on the car and move it under a shade for a few minutes while running the fan. Then I drive off.

Other then tint windows, and keep sunshade on sunroof closed, invest in a high quality sunshade for our mini-van sized windshield.

I wouldnt go for the thing at walmart (little fan you stick in window) ftl

Derek!

Get double limo on the back three windows. If you don't already have tint, you will be amazed how much better you A/C "seems" to work once you get tint.

there is a guy near my house that puts a huge white sheet over his roof, front, back and side windows. he keeps it in place by putting the wipers over the sheet and stuffing the excess in the door handles and trunk. i bet it works pretty good. he has an 06 ex sedan.

of course tint and sun shade.

pour a bottle of water on the car... just before getting in. It will drop the temp of the car drastically. Also a car cover will help alot.

Remote start and remote control windows and sunroof.

Prevent the sun from ever hitting the sunroof glass directly by applying body color matched vinyle sticker on the exterior of your sunroof. (with exceptiong of a black sticker of course)
