yeah I dry my car with a chamois, then go around with the mf cloth and do things like
1. Move mirrors back and forth to get water 2. Pull on door handles 3. Open doors and clean the frame and around the doors 4. Keep doors open to air dry and let drip what missed 5. Slam doors to get extra water to fall out 6. Lift trunk up and starts to wipe 7. Lift rear license plate and wipe behind it 8. Close trunk and wipe the remaining water Sounds long but its not - and definitely worth it! |

When I wash my own car and detail others I always.
Use California Squeegee Whipe most of the water off with Micro Fiber Towel. Open doors, trunk, hood, gas door and dry in those places. Close all doors. Use the air compressor on all areas. Use Micro Fiber Towel and go over it all. Spray off again with Air Compressor......MIRROS LIKE 10 TIMES they suck. Open up all doors and give one last dry. It's all good after that. |

final rinse is a stream of water (not a spray) to sheet most of the water
off the car. then use a MF towel to dry while using Hydro. there's some water left in the crevis but i dont care... it's a daily driven car parked outdoors 24/7. on my hobby cars i dont use Hydro. I blot dry using MF towels and use a leaf blower to remove all remaining water. At the very end i do a final wipe down with Griot's SpeedShine. |

california wiper blade + absorber.
but you have to physically wash your car. not this touchless shit, you have to actually use a MF mit or something to get your paint completely clean. then the wiper blade is absolute magic. absorber is equally good. Leafblower?!?!? are you kidding? you think a leafblower has anything there to stop it from firing particles at your paint? why not just sandblast your clearcoat. |
