Hey I bought this simple green stuff..
http://canadiantire.ca/browse/produc...romSearch=true

Professional strength automotive cleaner/degreaser
Biodegradable and non-flammable
Great for tools, benches, shop floors/doors, oil pans and wash basins
Cuts through brake dust, rubber oxidation, road tar and oil trails
Safely cleans engines and wheels

did i buy the wrong degreaser? do i spray this stuff on the bottom half of the car? or is it strictly for the engine bay/wheels?

Don't let Simple Green sit too long on the paint...I use it to degrease my engine bay usually.

Use this for road tar:

They sell it at Walmart and other automotive stores. However, don't get it on your windows like I did - it's a pain to take off. I thought my Tarminator bottle was Invisible Glass...doh!

is the claybar meant to be only used once and throw it away and buy another one? or can you just use the same clay but have it sealed in a plastic bag for it won't get hard?

^^ Claybarring is supposed to be 2-3 times a year. the claybar should last you 2 uses, maybe 3. you can reuse the clay as long as its not very dirty.. but for me, I flatten it, use one side, then the other, reform it, and do that maybe 2 times till it gets dirty. hope this helps!

You're not supposed to reuse the clay after you've dropped it on the ground.

Guys, you don't have to use the entire clay bar itself for the entire car. In fact, you should cut away little pieces for the exact reason of dropping the clay bar on the ground. Use enough that covers your index and middle finger...about a quarter to half dollar coin size when flattened out. I've gone through about 3 or so of that size on a car that was moderately contaminated. That way you'll have plenty left if you keep dropping pieces and/or they get dirty from the picking up contaminents on the car.
