Watered down trim dressing question.
Guys I have tried many products for plastics and vinyl, and I really don't like the look and feel of any of them, I even tried Meguiars "natural" shine, and while not bad, it's not what I'm looking for, I want something really natural, a new-like look, no shine at all. A long time ago I read somewhere that glycerin was used for this purpose, but if offered no protection against UV rays, I tried it once just to check, diluted with water and it looked really good. So I mixed some 3M leather and vinyl protectant, some glycerin (for consistency and effect) and water.
To be exact, 35ml 3m protectant 25ml glycerin 40ml distilled water I know protection is proportionally reduced, so it means only 35% of protection by weight, but 35% is better than nothing at all. It really looks great, but the question is, will the mixture damage the plastic in any way? thanks |
