While the car was at Hendrick I was called by Bruce and was told that after they finished painting my fenders the car would not start for them to pull it out of the paint booth to finish the work on the fenders. I went there and found that my engine was flooded with gas. They pulled out the spark plugs and they were over run with gas dripping wet. They told me that the person who tried to start the car held down the gas before he turned the key all the way on. That led to flooding the spark plugs. That method of starting the car is not necessary to do because it is a fuel injected motor. That will only flood the plugs leading to starting issues. I have iridium spark plugs in which I told them they need to be replaced. They insisted on sandblasting the plugs to clean them off. I had just put these spark plugs in the car a couple of weeks ago. They sandblasted them and then the car started but did not idle right. When I drove the car home it was running crappy. It was misfiring, bucking, and hesitating. I knew immediately that the spark plugs were ruined. With iridium spark plugs you cannot clean them off without ruining them

That's what I thought but I was wrong. I fired back telling them that the place gave me a verbal agreement and wrote it on my file, I went back in and asked to see it but they had made a new one. Their reason for my good price was because my car was over $2000 worth of hail damage and they would already have the paint so a quick prep and spray is all it would take. They told the BBB after my reply that they never agreed to that price and wanted proof (that's when I went to get my file and it was replaced). I trusted a company that had been in the area a long time and were actually a religious type family owned business. I never treat people like that so I expect it in return, and I didn't do a thing wrong to these people. I also took my fiance's car there that had close to $2000 in damage so I was giving them a hefty paycheck. A month later I find two more quarter sized dents in a low key area on the trunk and a spot on the side mirror has paint that recently started cracking. My insurance company knows of the situation and won't let me go anywhere else even after that so her car wasn't done correctly either. My lesson learned is to not trust a damn person that I don't call my own family, and even then I better cover my backside.

update:
i got a call from Chris the manager at the collision shop. he said his manager told him to offer me 365 + 31. i told him that covers my detail and plugs, but i spent 126 for the court suit because you guys didnt want to work with me. i need that 126 back so if you pay me 522 ill drop everything, however my fenders have trash under the paint and that needs to be fixed. he told me he will meet with his manager this am and call me back. im sure they will pay me. they dont want to go to court because they know they will lose |

Yup, tomorrow they are gonna wet sand em out, but since I gave it some thought, I decided against them touching my car. It's really not too bad, I'm sure if I got it painted somewhere else it would still get junk in the paint. I'll just leave it since I'm gonna get cf fenders soon
