PC 7336SP $47.60 at Lowes!

Definite YMMV on this one, but...

Lowes is clearing this out of their stock, so it's on clearance at all their stores. The two downsides are:

1) Many stores are already sold out. The sale's been going on for a while now.
2) Each store seems to have a different price. When I called around the different locations they all gave me different prices. The only one I found with the $47.60 price was sold out. However, I found another location that was more than happy to price match for me.

All I did was give them the phone # of the store offering the $47.60 price, and I also showed her a receipt I printed out from this thread: http://autopia.org/forum/good-deals/...tml#post836428

The girl working customer service never even called the other location to verify their price. She just took me for my word, combined with the receipt picture I showed her. Anyway, they may not have any in your location, but it's worth a shot!

For those that don't know, the 7336 is just like the 7424, but with a 6" backing plate instead of a 5". Mechanically, they're the same.

Good luck

If you want to save yourself some time just to go the website and get the phone #s for all the nearest locations.

The item # is 51472.

You can get a Power Invertor ($20-$25 at Fry's Electronics). You would just plug that into a cigarette lighter in your car and the $25 one has 2 regular wall plugs you can plug the PC into.

I can't think of the name of the company that makes them since I quit Fry's almost a year ago. They are easy to find though in the components dept.

That's my 420th POST!!! Too bad I am at work and can't "celebrate." I will celebrate when I go home. I am going to Lowe's on my lunch break.

Awesome, so I just got back from Lowe's on my lunch break. The item was already on sale for 90 something dollars. I showed them the receipt I printed from Brooklyn, NY. The manager went back in his office and called that store to verify the price was real. Then he told the Customer Service girl to go ahead and give me that price.

$51.53 OUT THE DOOR!!!!

I only scanned the top half of the receipt. The bottom half doesn't have anything important on it.

The girl at the first Lowe's I called (the one closer to my work) told me they don't match sale items also. I went to the other one without calling and they did it.

That's because it IS a sander. Take off the sandipaper, put polising pads on, and voila...it's a polisher. It even says sander/polisher on the box.

Congrats on finding it so cheap HAQER. That's awesome I'm surprised they matched it via the Brooklyn store alone. I think mine did it since another store in the immediate area had it for that price as well.

Anyway, you got it for $.47 cheaper than me thanks to your lower sales tax

Thanks. I have never used one of these before. It says in the original post that this is the same thing as the PC7424 but has a 6" backing plate instead of 5". I know they have kits for the 7424 with a soft backing plate and pads. Can I use those on the 7336SP? I mean, if the only difference is the size of the backing plate, shouldnt I be able to replace the backing plate with one for a 7424 and use all the pads made for the 7424???

You know, I think I made a mistake on that first post. I think it's the counterweight that's different...not the backing plate. My mistake.

You can check out the forums at autopia.org for more information if you want to be sure that I'm not crazy (because I may be).

Anyway, I plan to buy the Edge 2000 pad kit. It doesn't require a backing plate at all, so it eliminates that problem
