Car Covers in bad weather?

Is it okay to use a car cover in the rain or snow? The car cover i have says it's Water Resistant. I'm thinking when it snows, i can just take the cover off and i wont have to clean my car off.

When it snows, what do i do? Where do i put the cover to let it dry off?

It's perfectly safe.
When it snows, just shake the powder off the cover and let it hang to dry indoors.

thx for the reply

I dont have anywhere to hang it up. The cover is pretty big... the length of the civic. I can put it in one of those big tupperware container but i'm afraid it will get mildewy

car covers will scratch your paint unless your paint is very clean and there
is no debri on the inside of the cover. also any wind flapping the cover
can and will induce swirls and scratches.

i think car covers can get wet and get real heavy. they are water "resistant" not water proof.

suppose ot be able to "breathe"

but i'd never use a car cover...i drive it way too much for that

i meant to use it over night when there's a big storm. Instead of having to scrape the ice/snow off the car, i can just take off the cover and im set.

It'll be fine. On my way to work I walk pass an 02' Corvette that's usually covered, and the paint still looks mint.
