Rock Chip Question
Just curious to know if anyone has brought the excessive chipping of the paint on the hood/bumper situation to your dealers? I'm contemplating going up there and discussing this with a stern opinion and other people's comment on the matter. I mean I have pretty good size chips all the way up to the windsheild. Now I know the front of our cars are slanted foward and it's not the best design to avoid road debris...but come on...I've never seen a cars paint chip like this. I could use touch up paint, but at this point I don't know, I have so many. It disgusts me to think what my car might look like 2 years or so from now when I'm ready to get another one, with what it looks like now only 4 months old. Anyways, just wondering if anyone has tried to take action on the matter. Let me know.

Have not tried to take action. I don't think you will get any sympathy from your dealer or Honda. Ya got what ya got. The paint chips just as easily everywhere on the car, not just the hood. If you get anywhere, please let us all know.
My plan is to drive it until it rusts off, then buy a new hood. My guess is that will happen in less than 3 years. |
