Safe to wax a new car?

Hello,

Here's the story. A co-worker of mine told me that i should wait alteast 6 months to wax my car because the paint has to "cure". I purchased my car at the end of june, so it is only a month old. Keep in mind, we were only discussing hand waxing the car and not using buffers.

Is there any truth in what he said?

There are other threads on this but you're fine. They bake the paint at the factory and it's completely cured.
