did you try vinegar? try soaking a rag or something in it and let it sit on the glass...might help to dissolve the crystals

Griot's has something for windows to take care of water spots: They sell a special glass polish and special pads to use with a random orbital machine:
Glass Polish, 8 Ounces - Polishes - Polishing - Car Care - Griot's Garage

6" Glass Polishing Pad, Set Of 3 - Orbitals & Polishing Tools - Polishing - Car Care - Griot's Garage

i would first try RainX cause it's pretty good as a cleaner.

if that fails, i would try the Griot's glass polish.

if you want to try vinegar you have to soak up a towel
with it and lay it on there for a good 10-12 min. if you're
just spraying it on like QD and hoping it'll work, no dice.

^ Good points Ken. I would try the vinegar first as you said with a towel soaked in it, laying on the glass for awhile. If that fails, then a polish will be needed.

I am so glad I had my windshield coated with Diamond Fusion at the dealership. It has resisted several rock hits, grains of sand in the winter and any waterspotting. Glass looks like new and water just sheets off of it.

You can polish your glass just like your paint. I use a rotary and a small foam pad with an abrassive paint polish.

That's a great idea but make sure the glass is wet, soapy water works well.

Another detailer trick is to use a product called Bon Ami which is a very mild cleanser, but don't use Ajax, Comet, etc. as they are too abrasive. When you use it, make sure the windshield is wet, use a cellulose sponge (or even the 0000 steel wool!) and work it while it's a very wet thin paste consistency. rinse thoroughly and repeat if necessary. My guess is the Griot's glass polish and others are probably very similiar in consistency and make-up (and far more expensive). You can use a rotary but only with a polish/pad recommended for glass because anything else will scratch the surface...Honda glass is incredibly 'soft' and easily scratched!
