Dudes, don't do the whole car at once. Do one panel at a time.

Titanium

There's another black magic, I think called titanium. I just
used it and was excellent. It's real nice how it goes on, smooth and
creamy doesn't skip any spots.

In high humidity it didn't dry up real well and was a little tacky when coming off.

Shine is excellent.

I clayed it first and found some rough spots, clay is required on
a brand new car as well.

I've used them and all and had settled on Mothers FX synwax.
The mothers was about the best off the shelf and lasted 3-4 months.
This is first time I tried the black magic brand.

I'll see how the longevity of the black magic is in about 3 months.
I judge by how well the tar and sap come off when washing.
I don't want to use a lot of elbow grease when washing and damage
the paint, I wax when the dirt doesn't just flush right off.

I always have loved my nxt and my showroom 3m wax and this has jsut failed me.

what type of towel are u using to wipe the wax off? If it isnt a MF towel then that's why youre getting the swirls. You'll need to polish the car to get rid of the swirls.

I used the Black Magic Titanium synth wax and it did an awesome job on my NHBP - I highly recommend it, this is compared to Turtle Wax paste, Mother's paste wax, Turtle wax spray applied with garden hose attachment, and the CRAPPY Eagle one spray wax in the pump bottle.

I Black Magic'ed my Jetta a few weeks ago and posted these same pictures in another thread, here she is. Not bad looking for a 7 year old car.

Sorry the light wasn't too good, it was late in the day.

So far it seems to have held up well. I ran by some milkweed apparently and it scratched the living daylights out of my car but thank goodness it only got through the wax! Otherwise I could have said goodbye to my nice left rear fender. She's just fine now!

One thing I have noticed about this wax is it seems like it is harder to remove after the first coat. I'm on my 4th now and it takes more work than the 1st to buff it out. (The first was easy) Overall it is really nice stuff and is cheap too. What's to loose?

just a few pointers of how I do, you can find many writeups.

Buy some real white cotton towels at sears, pennys, or linen store.
Alot the cotton from pakistan that you will find in parts stores and walmart
is not real.

I haven't had any luck with the microfibers for taking off wax or drying,
I don't think they are real cotton, and don't absorb water.

Wash the car with dawn dish liquid, with car cool and not in any sun, you don't want this to waterspot, keep flushing with lots of rinse water,
squeeqe and dry. If it's a super clean or new car you may use car soap
but dawn will be better to strip off any wax.

Cut clay bar into pieces, mothers clay is good, mcquires may be cheaper.
The blue Clay Magic is cheapest but stiffer and hard to knead.
Knead a piece into a pancake, lubricate well and work back and forth in the direction the wind goes. Don't push down let the clay do the work. Use lots of lube. If you feel like you hit something large, check the clay and pick
off the piece of trash.
Go over spots and stains rapidly until they dissapear.
You feel the progress and know when a surface is smooth and clean.

If you hit a rough and dirty spot, turn and nead the clay often.
If car is really dirty replace the clay pieces often. The top surfaces, rear
quarters, and tail will be the dirtiest. Do the bottom last where youll
pickup tar and dirty the clay.

After clay, wash with good car soap, NXT is my favorite car soap.

The wax works best if cured overnight and removed in the morning, lower
humidity is best. Two coats is best.
I have a theory that a new car needs waxed frequently like every
two weeks then regular intervals, I'll get the door
jams, underside of hood, troughs around the trunk opening etc when new.

Microfiber absorbs obscene ammounts of water. I had a small towel that was soaked and held it under a shower head to see how much more water it could hold. It took about 15 seconds before water leaked out the bottom.

Mine seem to buff well, though I can't comment on comparison to cotton as I haven't tried them side by side. But I just had to say Microfiber does absorb water and they are great for drying your car. (They hold lots of water and leave no lint)

I have an LX, with the hubcaps, is it okay to use the Black Magic on it? Just curious, 'cause I was wiping the 'caps and it feels just like the body of the car. I don't think it needs to "breathe".

hubcaps need a wheel cleaner. Also, I said I detail cars as a job so I know to use microfibers. I know how to clean a car and so does the other porter I had try it and had the same thing happen on his black car. It was pretty humid but most of the times you wax a car its gonna be humid outside.

Are you thinking liquid vs. paste? If so it is a liquid.

I'm sure it is has synthetic components, if I had to guess. Consumer reports rated it the best consumer wax for many things, including durability and gloss, and many people here swear by the stuff so I'd say go for it.

Oh, and did I mention it is inexpensive?

When I wax, I always have these five items.

2x Microfiber Applicator - used to apply the wax
2x TerryCloth - used to wipe off the hazed wax
1x BlackMagic Microfiber Buffing Cloth - FINELY cleans up everything!
