sorry for a noob question, s o you put lots of wax on your car then use the 100 %cloth just to spread it? or do you just dry it off with the cloth?

no. it's a 100% cotton applicator. looks something like this -

put a little of the liquid wax on the pad and rub it into the paint using small circular motions. use a little pressure to work that wax in there. wait like 2 minutes and it should be hazy.. then use a microfiber towel to buff it off.

I suggest reading this Detailing forum before waxing your car if you're unsure of how to do it. It's pretty easy, but it's even easier to mess it up.

also, don't get the wax on the plastic, it'll stain it

Well, i use a polish before waxing.

A nice polish will bring out the shine in your paint, and the wax will protect the paint

Is it okay to use a microfiber towel to apply the wax instead of those cotton circler applicator things? Cuz that's what i did. I also used a new Micro fiber towel to buff the wax off

What is a clay bar? Sorry, I'm not a car washer expert. I used to just drive in a car wash place.

A clay bar will remove contaminants in the paint. If you run your hand over the paint and it feels rough, you should use a clay bar. It will remove the roughness.

It works great

Yeah, i'll be giving it a try here for my next waxing. You gotta love Consumer Reports. Pretty funny how people will spend boatloads of cash on waxes that you can only order online. It's ALL in the marketing, baby.

I would suggest buying a few different ones and trying them all out to see what's best.

That's what I do, anyways

A lot of people on here swear by Zaino. I have personally never used it. I did use black majic on my tafetta whit si and it worked great. Also, the black majic is dirt cheap (about $6 a bottle) compared to Zaino. It's all preference I would say. I imagine Zaino might work slightly better, but is substantially more expensive and as I understand a harder application...just my .02
