Why is Honda to blame for their marketing and pricing strategy? It is the American market (us!!!) that decides what sells and at what price!

Look at Chrysler for example and their total piece of shit PT Cruiser! The dealers sold them in the tens of thousands for many years with a mark-up of at least $3-5K.

As far as a $30K Honda Civic (2.0 engine) ---well it will sell just fine! There are lots of idiots who will slurge on this ugly and overpriced factory sedan...I know that I will not be one of them!!!!

I could not digest the idea of a collectible Civic!

Maybe that's why we don't have Mugen Si's in Canada

I just merged several of the Mugen Si threads into this one, lets keep one thread for the pictures and discussion rather than 12

I was at Norm Reeves Honda in Huntington Beach for service over the weekend and was shocked to see an S2K CR and a Mugen Si in the showroom. That is until I saw the price! They want $5000 over MSRP for the Civic and $3000 over for the S2K. No wonder they're still sitting there! Come to mention it, they also want $2000 over for Accord coupes and Si coupes. Maybe somebody needs to remind them that they're selling Hondas not Ferraris.

well the mugen does come equipped with a "Cat-back" sports exhaust system", which would explain why it sounds so rowdy, compared to our stock Si's.

^ True. It sounds a little different. Then again, I have a custom 2.5" Midpipe with no resonators and my SiSM intake, so my car sounds completely different.
