Should I get a civic lx or BMW 328i/335i

My beautiful fa5 was in a accident last week. Sadly it was totaled. I really loved that car. I have to move on. So what should I get, a 2010 Honda civic lx or 2009 BMW 335i or 328i.

Not sure if this is a serious comparison but with gasoline being so expensive, better get a yaris.

Lol I'm not trolling, I just have the option of getting a BMW. My thoughts t, go with the civic lx for 4 years. Cheaper monthly, by the time I graduate college, it's paid for. Or get the BMW now, 72 months same exactly the same payment like my si, which is around 440. need advice if you were a college student. Now that Gas prices are now almost $5. I heard bmws are high to maintain.

You will spend a lot more in gas, you will get 24mpg if you are lucky. As long as the bmw in under warranty still then no worries there. The come with a 3 or 4 yr 50,000 mile service/waranty. The bmw will be worth a lot less then you buy it for in just a couple of years compaired to the civic.

Oh I have a 08 328i

What is your Si loan term for? 440 a month for an Si? You didn't see a problem there?

When I had my si, I signed for 72 months. I paid about almost 3 years of my loan. no problem paying 440 a month. I bought it new.

Bmw when compared to honda - seems as though with the bmw you would be accepting significantly higher maintenance costs.

Dude, WTF? 440 a month for a Civic LX?? I was paying 530 a month for my 2005 Mustang GT for 60 mos. back in Feb. of 2005... I'm paying $500 now for my 2010 VW CC R-spec. How are you at $440 for a Civic?

No, you got it all wrong, read the top. If I do get a civic lx it would be $295 monthly. Like i said when I had my fa5 I paid $438 exactly. If I were to get a 335i I would pay about $442.

Get the LX, finish school first, plenty of time to get a nice car afterwards, the LX will be cheaper to buy, maintain, better in gas, insurance, etc...but if u do end up with the bimmer, welcome to the club!!

OOOOOOH, ok... Yeah get the LX. Forget the 328/330i for now and once you finish school, make bank and get the M3.... wait, on second thought M5.

I'm in a similar situation. Can't decide between a 2012 M5 and a 2004 Honda Element.
