Where I live they dont really pull you over for anything besides not stopping at a stop sign. I used to drive around with my 4000k piaas and yellow fogs and my illegal top strip tint thats over AS1 line, they have never hassled me. And ive been pulled over for not stopping at a stop sign and he didnt hassel me about anything else, he actually said, I have a nice car so dont f*ck it up,

That sucks man, he probably had nothing better to do...Cops do that, maybe he was bored, I remember once i got stopped in NC by a state police guy and i had the impression he just wanted to chat, hell i even got to sit in the cruiser in the front seat! we chatted for a bit and he let me go...no ticket no warning ect, mind you i was doing 75 in a construction zone

but yah when i lived in MA i tried not to use fog lights because i had friends who were hassled about driving with them on when it wasn't raining/foggy. At least he didn't give you a ticket, which hints to me he probably had nothing better to do.

Crazy story about the fog lights. I'm glad I read this thread, because I was driving around with my fogs on all day lol. Also, to the OP, don't fight the warning. I've been pulled over many times, and gotten away with warnings several times. I don't think in Arizona they are recorded at all.

In may of 08, I was on a road trip in my 06 Mazda3 to MI. On my way there I was pulled over 3 times within 15 hours lol, in 3 seperate states. I was let off with a warning by all 3 state troopers. Sad thing is I totaled my Car 1 hour away from my destination, wasn't my fault for the accident BTW. Now I drive my Si and love it, and use cruise control on the Highway lol.

I am not positive, but I think the oklahoma law is somehting along the lines of you are only allowed to have 1 pair of "lights" so bright fog lights and parking lights would be legal-ish....

Heh, I got pulled over for driving with my fogs on in Stillwater, OK.

The cops reasoning? "Maaaannn those things are brigghtt!"

My response? "They are stock, I will turn them off."

Cop: "Here is your warning."

Me: "Thanks officer."

Drive home, remove fogs woo hoo more air for intercooler! (91 Eclipse GS-T)

Saw cop again and he asked what happened to fogs. I told him since I can't use them then why have them. He thought it was funny and told me he was just checking to see if I was drunk.

I don't agree with their methods at all: PULL THEM OVER AND CHECK TO SEE IF THEY"RE DRUNK - not ask them some BS question to see what they originally were pulling you over for.

Waste my tax dollars why don't you!

Cops have to follow the pesky Constitution. A citizen has the right to not be harassed by a cop unless their is a valid legal reason for the cop to initate the traffic stop.

Just like a cop can't bust in your home and search for anything without a warrent.

Dang citizens and thier rights

EXACTLY. They make up BS reasons of pulling you over because they are checking to see if youre under the influence of any drugs whatsoever. They arnt pulling you over because you are driving with foglights (usually ) but they are pulling you over to see if youre a drunkie, or any other high

Yup, and I looked up Texas several years ago, and it says that any light can stay on as long as it sits lower than the headlights. Buy a Jeep and you'll spend soo much damn time looking up laws to figure out how you can get around them.

And anytime you're in Lampassas County, DPS have been authorized to pull you over just to ask you what you think of the road conditions. So read that as to check and see if you are drunk.

at least you didn't get a ticket, so you should be happy, yet it's still stupid how he pull you over just for the foglights, but i guess it's your state law.

right - 2 days ago, i was pulled over because the cop/pig said my exhaust was too loud. after telling him it was STOCK, then he said well fine i'll give you a ticket for not making a left turn signal (which i usually do use my signal, but for this one instance i did not). my fault for getting caught but did he REALLY have to be a DICK? no, he profiled me and was going to give me a ticket regardless how STUPID or MINOR it is. this is how they spend my money??
