07 Civic LX in Tampa Florida
2nd civic - I dunno about you guys but im happy with my used civic. after 2 bad experiences with stealerships and tons of net research, carfax, autotrader.... we found it at, of all places a finance company. not a dealership so, no frills, has a small lot but moves 30 to 40 cars a month. He buys them at the Orlando auction, puts them on Autotrader and they sell. He has everything from porsche, hondas, volvos to scions. I've bought from places like this before and you can get a great deal.
We put $1500 down, financed $12,000 at 3.7% from the credit union, plus an extended warrranty. the civic has 34k miles, so still has honda warranty which make the extended warranty cheaper. Dealership prices for the same car were around $14k with no warranty. new cars lose way to much in depreciation when you drive them off the lot. i always buy a car or truck 2 or 3 years old.

I just joined the forum today to get some advice. I plan on getting an 09 civic si sedan. I have a cousin that works at the honda dealership and was able to get me a family discount. their offer for a civic si sedan for me was 21,525 otd. You guys think i can do better or is that a good deal as is?
btw, I currently own a 350z but it's not an everyday practical car for me so i figured i'll settle w/ a sport sedan. |

You shouldn't have let 2 bad dealership experiences turn you away... Plus, you never said what trim or year of car you got was... |

Hi,
I am being quoted 21,500 for an 09 SI sedan with Navigation. This is the price with destination only (i.e. taxes, title, doc are extra) I am also contemplating waiting for the 2010 SI sedan with NAV instead. I am not in a hurry though need a new ride by early to mid-September. Any thoughts/inputs about the price, whether I should wait, etc... Thanks in advance. |

I just picked up a new si coupe last week. It was a base (non navi no summer tires) and had wheel locks, trunk liner and mud guards. Here was the OTD breakdown. This was in NC
Price - $19,000 for the 09 Civic Coupe SI (Silver/Black) Tax - $570 Tag fee - $88 Doc fee - $399 Total - $20,057 OTD |
