Almost traded my Roush for a 06 SI FBP, don't laugh, price on the Si...$26,500. (includes a $3500 Market Adjustment Fee from the Honda dealership in St. Aug, FL). I basically told the dealership to f*ck off after the online price was $22,000 and they brought me in with that nice jack of price. A few weeks later went to Honda in Daytona, ordered a LX for $17,355. Took a month to get it in Manual, but I got it.

I had an OTD price of $18,900 On a NHBP 07 EX Coupe MT ( only extra was splash guards) in northern Wisconsin on the 26th of February. But then I am going to be in city traffic alot so I went with a certified pre-owned w/ 4000 miles ASM 06 Auto Coupe for $17,800. Did I get hosed? I hate it when dealers make money.

The warranty on the CPO is actually a year longer 4/48k B t B 7/100K powertrain from when the car was put in service. That is an extra 6 months since mine was purchased in October.

Yesterday I bought an 07 GG si sedan no extras other than wheel locks and splash guards with an OTD of $20289. My only requirement was that she not tell me how good of a deal it was... I did all negotiating over the phone which was great, our total time at the dealer was just under 1 hr... She ended up telling me they made $0 on the deal but I bet 7 out 10 people hear that.. March 1st they started a 4.9% on all civics too. After $13k down my payments at $160.61

What is a good OTD price on a Si sedan w/ no options in the Bay Area? Like $23,500?

Just so you know.....with that drive out and 13k down....your payment should have been NO MORE than 145 over 60 months....and thats at 7.49%!!! so unless you got a higher than average APR....you will spend at least 1k more over the term unless you just got it and have time to go back to the dealer and pitch a fit....

The certified warranty goes like this:

the extra 12mo / 12k miles is from the date YOU purchase the used car...regardless of current milage and or years in service

The extra 2year / 40 k miles on the powertrain covers from the date it was sold NEW....or the first IN-Service date....not the date you bought the car used.

And the 12/12....its not Bumper to Bumper like a lot of dealers say....it only covers manufacture defects....so if a light burns out or an alternator goes bad....they can make YOU pay for it.

I checked the payments on 3 different sites... If I am not confused most websites call OTD the price before TTL since TTL will be different in most states ie. DE dosen't have any sales tax. I guess I might have gotten taken but 2 other dealers said they would only either match it and the third said he would match it and pick me up from a local CarMax after I sold my truck. Before I left my house for the dealer my calculations were only $0.22 less a month than what the final payment came to be... I had put the #'s into a couple of payment calculators like on vehix.com or or one of the dealerships websites because I don't know exactly how the interest rate applies. It isn't just total financed plus 4.9% divided by 60 otherwise it would have been $149.xx a month...

Price of Car was $20289
Tags and License $211
5% MD sales tax $1025
Down Payment $13000
total finance $8525

If you are familiar with Excel, here is the your payment calculator:
=PMT(monthly interest rate (0.049/12), # of payment 60 mons, loan balance of $8525) and your monthly payment is $160.49.

Your Payment Excel

The best rule of thumb on payments is that for every 1000 you finance for 60 mo with average credit you pay 20.00 a month. So yeah with the actual OTD that you just itemized....(and OTD means Out the Door....all taxes and fees inlcuded) then your payment is right.....so good job.

06 Si, honda no options, tinted back windoows, car alarm and some aftermarket 18". 23,783 befor tax, license, registration, and finance fees at 8.69% (i had next to no credit which is worse than bad credit). total was 32 grand and change. I put 7 grand down and pay 414 a month. I bet thats one of the highest payments on this forum.

damn, i pay just a lil more than you, not much, but that was because i had to roll over almost or at 6 grand to get out from under my truck. all in all, good investment. i save about 250 a month in gas alone and my payment went down almost 100 from my truck.

Your base price of 21.5K on the 07 Si Sedan w/ nav is very impressive. What are the docs, tax and reg fees like?
