Paid exactly MSRP plus cost of options installed (body kit and fogs). After taxes, paint protectant and such, I paid exactly, to the penny, 25,000.

Depends on the state. OTD plus TTL makes sense in my state. When I purchased my EX. I told them xx,xxx OTD. Here it means price of car and any dealers fees excluding TTL. We also pay our TTL separately at a later time personally to the DMV instead of paying for it during the purchase as some states do.

What makes the best apples to apples comparison is stating the price you paid OTD before TTL since TTL is different in different states.

Here in NE we get it up the butt in sales tax and fees.

In NE, the dealer will give you paperwork with the price you paid for the car and your estimated tax you'll need to pay the DMV and they don't include any figures for titling and licensing since, here we can deduct some $ off the titling/licensing fees from our previous fees if you are replacing another car with the new one.

But I still think it will help potential buyers get a better idea of what Civics are going for if you exclude TTL from the price and only include the actual price you paid including dealer fees and anything you added on to the car. Since every state has their own variation of TTL.

Too bad neither of us can register our cars in OR. They don't pay sales tax on cars
