If that is the case, why waste your time going to the dealership for it? They might be telling you, “It is in your contract”.

You can simply say, "Dad, how much is the total car payment for my Civic?” I am sure your dad would know exactly the cost of your Civic.

Is $15,900 + fees, TTL, etc a good deal for a new LX manual 2 door with no add-ons in Los Angeles? Out the door price would be put me around $17700, but I'm going to see if they can knock it down to $17000.

If not, then I'll see if they can throw in some additional things for free.

It is easier to negotiate through email and phone than in person at the dealership..!

You can negotiate multiple dealerships at the comfort of your office..!

I had no problem negotiating my price... I started HELLA low, at consumer reports suggested bottom line of 19200 for an SI, and then let them haggle up... I called 50 dealers, and played them on each other... even after I bought mine, dealers called back and said they could give me a better price than first quoted.

Its funny how every person will post "is this a good price" when there are 20 pages of "prices" to look for about what people paid.

Im not knocking anyone, but checking at least the first 10 pages will yield great results! Plus noone, but few, seem to post a break down of what everything costs. Honestly bud, 21,8 could be a bad price or it could be a good price. It depends on what the break down is.

I bought a 07' Si Sedan w/Navi and Tint (not a thing else) and paid:
car $22,600
tax, title, liscense and 1.5 years of tags $2600

OTD price was $25,200 and I think I got a "good deal"

21,700 for my Silver 06 Si I bought last sept in Minnesota. It had 5K on it when i bought it but was absolutely cherry. I still faced a dealer premium but it was worth it. I now own it outright with title in hand.

I'm looking at a Atomic Blue Civic Sedan EX (no nav) Manual Trans adding sunroof visor, fog lights, splash guards and the iPod Music Link (yes, I know it has MP3, but I want to be able to control the iPod from the main console).

On Saturday, Ourisman Honda in Bethesda, Maryland quoted me $18,700 (not including tax and tags). I haven't bought yet, but I think that this is a pretty good deal, any thoughts?

Not a bad price Out-the-door. I also got the IPOD music link, one piece of advice, DO NOT install the honda music link software on your computer!! It syncs your ipod with a Text-to-speech link for every song. Not only does this take hours to update but is very innacurate and it adds thousands of 2 second long songs with a robotic voice naming the artist, album, and song. If you make a few playlists and just hit play before you connect, you still have the ability to scroll through songs and ge the line-in sounds quality that FM transmitters lack. The only downside is you have to unplug your Ipod to see what artist/song is playing.

Best of Luck!

Thank you so much for the advice! That certainly sounds like a major pain!

Just an update on the price - I did end up taking that deal, but I also decided to add in the Bass Speaker System, so that bumped up the price a bit. The sticker on the car was $19,305 but I ended up getting the car with all my accessories for about that (I paid $19,320 before tax and tags, $20,405 after)! I even got them to waive their processing and freight charges! They were so desperate to get rid of it because apparently manual transmissions don't sell well here (Maryland). The salesman said that pretty much all the people who come in wanting manual transmission want the Si so they can't keep many of those in, but they had plenty of the EX. Anyway, so with all that said, I am now the proud owner of a 2007 Galaxy Grey Honda EX Sedan (no navi) with mudguards, door edge guards, fenderwell trim, wheel locks, fog lights, moonroof visor, iPod Music Link, Bass Speaker System. I think I'm in love
