Show me how you can make 300WHP with 2-3K. And unless you have slicks your not getting of the line. Any honda enthusiast
will know how our 8thgens aren't to responsive to modifications with out tuning, your looking at around 4K for a supercharger
that will give you that amount of boost plus around 600ish to tune and assuming you can't install it thats another 500-1000$ at least.
Not to mention the basic bolt ons you would have to have to make use of the supercharger. Then you'll have a 300WHP car that
blows the tires off unless its got slicks on it. So I'm assuming the OP doesn't reccomend the car because his civic
accelerates better with a S/C on it?

news flash, the ct and jackson superchargers are already tuned. you send your ECU in for the supercharger reflash. And its already included in the price of the kit.

only way you have to pay for tuning with the supercharger is if you go the flashpro route and want to tune it your self.

The evo X factory tune is horrible. A tune by itself nets you 40-50 whp. A drop in filter gets you about 20 by itself. It's ridiculous. The factory tune runs super rich, adding some air to the mix gets you crazy power. You get 350 with turboback exhaust, a drop in, and a tune. So don't get it twisted, nobody buys an evo and runs the factory tune. I'd run a supercharged SI any day and I would win.

You put 8K in an SI and get 300 WHP. You put 8K in an evo........

It's just a completely different car with that tune bro. I was shocked. That drop off after 5k disappears and you can rev the hell out of it and hold boost til 7500. I'm talking no mods at all, just the tune.

I will say the SI is way more fun to drive. It's more nimble, shifts and steers smoother, and feels light. Driving the EVO is like pulling an 8 hour shift at in construction compared to driving the SI.

EVO is clearly better. Yes you can mod the Si to be as fast or faster in a straight line but its FWD, its gonna roast the tires on anything under highway speeds.
Well i did it and my buddy who has an Evo even said it is possible... yes there is a difference between ignorance and plain stupidity which maybe if u read u'll understand. Bolt on SI makes around 200-210 i dyno'd 203 with intake and raceheader only. since then ive gotten alot more i'm also gutted weighed 2700lbs even with more than a half tank of gas i had 4 bars with this evo so made me around 2900lb with me in the car. a 100% stock evo makes 240ish WHP and weighs over 3500lbs and in 5th gear they lose boost think my friend said he made around 8-11psi and evo 5th gear suck. so yes the way i have my SI will beat a 100% stock evo from a roll in top end weight plays a HUGE part in that.

I agree, a stock evo and a 203 WHP gutted SI, the SI could pull above 120ish. Drive train loss on AWHP. Evo's are not made for the top end. My SI was a champ on the highway too.

Hahaha...i think this thread is kinda pointless but with hondata and bolt ons i got my SI up to 145 5th gear and 6th gear pulls too. Just need the road, not public, to try that out.

OK honda fanboys enough already! STI & Evo >>>> Si. The cars are not even in the same class, so stop trying to make yourselves feel better by acting like the Evo wont RAPE your lil Si.
