Thats the reason why most Adults have a bad impression of the Civic. Passing on the shoulder and throwing coins.

Don't care to be honest w/ ya. If someone was gonna block me in from going anywhere just to be a dick and I could tell it was on purpose, that's fine. Also, there would be no "proof" of anything unless they had a way to record the incident. Their word vs. mine. Believe my I know. I tried to get a trucker in trouble for trying to run people off the road while on the interstate and did anything ever happen? No. It doesn't matter if I'm driving a civic or a camaro ss, it's the same issue. That's not the reason civics have a bad name, it's the racing and all the other negativity. What I described is road rage and it's associated w/ any car, not just the civic.

This ALWAYS happens to me... I guess it is the Si...mmm... no. Even before when I had my CRX HF stock people was trying to race it...
Funny story though... A guy with a Mazda 3 speed pulls next to me in a light (with his girlfriend)... He makes his tires spin when he leaves the light, but I find him in the next one... after that I decided to go with it (just because he gave me a look like "your car is a POS")... so we start... his stupid a$$ didn't even know how to drive, so I beat him, get in front of him, and the slow down and get myself to the right lane again... suddenly, he starts speeding up again and I'm like "WTF, he doesn't give up!" and decided to make him get a ticket... We are going down this avenue where from 50 mph goes to 30 mph for speed limit, with a speed camera... So I start speeding up, and right before the camera I slow down to 30 and he keeps going 60... When I saw the flash from the camera I just started laughing, in the next light I pull beside him and do this laughing...
I would love to see his face when he receives the ticket in the mail... He will look at it and say "That's the day I raced that Civic, got beaten in front of my girlfriend and got a ticket"... bad day for him.

this is one of my favorite things to do. the look on there face when they"won" the race and then the look when the cop gives them their "reward" for winning.

That's funny, but a little hard to read.

I really don't know about that... the cameras stand in only one side of the avenue, and EVERYBODY that knows the area slows down... Speed cameras are messing up all the fun in this part of MD!
Anyways, he got what he deserved... he should have stopped racing when I beat him, I even put myself in front of him and then slowed down.... but $80 will probably teach him the lesson...

My bad if it was hard to read... I just can't stop myself from laughing every time I think about it...

I did the same thing with a GTO, thats the only car ive tried to race, i got the jump and then he hit it, I was like " DAMNN " we got a good laugh.

You quoted me before I could edit it. I misread what you put. I thought that you said you're a cop. My bad.

i get people wanting to race about once a week it seems.
my si looks basically stock, other than hfp suspension

mostly 350z's, other si's and acura owners.

sometimes i ignore them, sometimes i play back - depends on my mood and traffic/location.

im not opposed to having a little fun though.

Must be the wing on the Si. Becuase I've got a Red EX with Weds rims and a fart can looking muffler (its quite) and nobody has ever tried to race me.

However my Mini is the checkmate edition, has the John Cooper Works $800 Carbon Fiber rear wing, and the Dinan exhuast. Everybody thinks the race is on.

  • looks from boy racer items like stickers, winges, and extra gauges
  • Sound either exhuast or a short geared car that sounds like the owner is driving hard/fast

You're right my bad.

I do actually kinda like the new Harley that they came out w/ that's flat black and has a wider rear tire, but for 17k, no way. lol.

Me and the wife were talking and I think there are more people that try to race hers than mine. I very rarely ever get anyone trying to go w/ me. She gets alot of people that try. Only people I've had off the top of my head are a 5.0 (had to take that one), monte carlo ss, wrx, and rsx-s. Only ones I gave the time of day were the 5.0 and ss.

It's a being female in South Texas thing, Excalibur. The guys there go into shock when they see a girl who actually owns a car with a manual transmission, plus she drives a Honda. That mix to them is a sport. I take it it's probably a lot of dudes in trucks too eh?
