Waterproofed ballasts

Do I need to be worried about going through a pressure car wash or driving in rain with HID ballasts?

CustomLightz, since I will likely buy my ballasts from you, how are your ballasts waterproofed?

Thanks

I might be wrong, but I don't think there is a big concern about waterproofing your ballasts. If you mount them in a place that stays dry, then you should not be worried. Some places include under the headlight, or in front of the inner fender lining. Now if you plan on mounting your ballasts outside the car, then you should be worried. In fact, if that thought is running through your mind, I'm worried myself.

actually, aftermarket ones are waterproof nowadays and the OEM honda/acura ones aren't water proof eg. s2k/tl/tsx/etc. they all basically use the same ballast and their ballast n water don't mix :)
