WOW.
Lots of nice pictures. Nice cars!!! Keep it up. As far as the gap between the shroud and the reflector, it is evitable unless the whole headlight was remolded. Which btw, is something we are currently working on. Thus, if you want a completely molded headlight without any reflectors and gaps, then send me a PM. bjorn

^^I liked your old retro, so I'm eager to see what you've got planned for the new one.
Did you have to buy another set of headlights or getting the original set re-worked? I am about to buy another set of new headlights myself and do a retro on my original headlights. |

Agreed
___________ I got a new set w/ help of a forum member and some searching on ebay. Brand new set of OEM 'Si' headlights (from 2 seperate sellers) for about $250, which is a steal. They are at CustomLightz right now. Hopefully will have them this weekend

Why is it that most of the FG retros I have seen from custom lightz, the projector seems to be held in with the Toyota headlight sealant (or some other type of sealant), but on Tim's Retro the projector has a ring so to speak holding it in place?
Like here : Tim's Retrofit (see pictures of back of headlight) vs. Here: Other FG retro (see picture of back of headlight) Both are the same projector. Last edited by dt07Si; 12-12-2007 at 03:13 PM. |

Click on both of the links. look at the individual pictures of the back side of the headlights. the first one is much cleaner looking and has a ring or donut that is holding the projector in place. the scond one doesn't and just has what appears to be the Toyota headlight sealant applied and holding it in place. both are the same projectors so I am trying to figure out why. The first headlight looks much cleaner than the second. |
