Hi:
Thanks for the info.
But I'm more looking for its size, like 14'' or 21'' etc...

Unfortunately my civic wiper blades already not working well after 1 month of my purchase. So I decided to try out other brands of blades.

Trico Blades seems famous globely:

So far I searched both in store and internet, I coudln't find any info about our civic wiper blade size or that they can fit our civic. Does that mean the only choice we have is Honda Genuine Blade ?

Hey, how much do those buggers cost to replace? I'm betting it's a pretty penny since they don't seem too common yet. I have two cars that use them.

Has anyone tried this site? $8.72/pair seems pretty reasonable.

I am also curious what attachment does the civic use for their wipers.

The blade does not have an attachment. If you've taken the blade inserts out you know they're just a piece of rubber that slides into the permanent wiper. I got them from the dealer for 5 bucks a piece.

Someone else will have to answer your questions for sure. I don't know it is a "type" as it should generally never need to be replaced. I think its a Honda part that's in a category all by itself.

It's called bracketless it's a spring tensioned rubber spine that gives the blade a curve to hold against the window.

The measurement for the 2 blades is:

Driver side: 26"
Passenger side: 22"

oh the hours I've wasted looking for replacement wiper blades/arms from various places.!!!

This design seems specific to the civic and there doesn't seem to be an aftermarket replacement for them. Not at Canadian tire, not at Parts Depot etc.. just not happening, despite what their in-house guides may say.

To my surprise, you can get replacement rubber for the blades at the dealer for less than $10 a pair. Done.. AND you won't have to mess around with the arms at all.

cheers
James.

I too was surprised that you can get anything from the dealer for about $10.

Most Honda parts are fairly priced.

I ran my original blades a couple days short of 1 year, they were starting to skip and chatter so time to go. Had OEM replacements ready to install.

The procedure seemed difficult when reading about it but was very simple to perform.

Just remember to not let the metal arm with the hook slam down into your windshield when you have the blade off.

Fixed that sentence for you.LOL
The wiper inserts seem to be the only thing reasonably priced.

I was getting my oil changed at the dealer and decided to buy wiper blade replacement while I was there. Cost me $16 and they installed them while my oil was being changed. It was nice not having to hassle with them. And they lasted me 2yrs +. Not bad!

I got the Civic EX wiper switch for $25 tax included, people upgrading their 10th gen Corolla wiper switch are paying $125 theirs. A brand new 16" steel Civic wheel for around $45...junkyard wants $40.

Not all Honda parts are reasonable (alternators, starters etc )
