May require adjustment on plastic base for clearance. (about 10% of the civics out there need to modify or move the plastic base a bit due to factory clearance and positioning variances, nothing serious) CorSport Online Store: Honda - 06+ Civic - CSI_SS06+ Tai CorSport |

Just got mine today and installed it. The blue cap was a pain in the ass to get off until I figured out a lil trick with it. If you get a 17mm or 16mm combo wrench and stick it on there and then use it to pry off the blue cap, the instal is 10x easier. The shifter feels great. It rubs a little bit, but I didn't have to cut my plastic. Now I just need to get the bushings. All I can say is, CORSPORT FTMFW!!!

This stainless steel shift adapter will help to shorten the throw of your shifter by relocating the stock plastic bushing and pivot point where it connects to the cables that lead to the transmission. We have test fitted one and it felt amazing. Thanks for looking, Hope you guys enjoy this part. CorSport |

Well today was install day in the great 95 degree 95 % humid Florida air.
The SS was joke how easy it was, used the tip about the wrench to pop off the blue cap and came right off. We jinxed are self by saying wow this is easy. Got it all together and there is some rubbing on the left side. Pulled it back apart and put some grease in there. Seems to slide a little easier. Took it for a drive and missed 3rd gear the first couple of times. After the first couple times all the gears felt nice and compact. Reverse is a little hard to get to, but I think it is mainly because were it is rubbing. Wanted to do the bushings so stopped messing with the SS. I think in the next couple of days I might try to put some washers where the console mounts to the brackets and see if that will lift it up a little. Then if that does not lift it enough I will get the dremel out. The bushings was a pretty straigt install also. Did the bushings in the freezer trick and then greased them up before installing them. Thanks to the guys that made the DIY. That helped allot, without that I would not known to remove the airbox to get the bushings. Hopefully my camber arms and tie bar will be here in the next coulple of days and that will be next. If anyone has any tips on that let me know. Do not see a DIY for the rear arm bar yet. But I will be doing the Skunk2 rear arm bar, skunk2 rear camber arms, progress rear sway bar, endlinks, reinforcement brackets. Great job so far Corsport! Thanks Mike |
