We just received 2 of these and they will ship today.

For all the newer orders, it should not be that long, as there was a huge order put in today for more and they should only take about a week to get in.

Thanks again for the patience.

will not having the cat give you a bigger gain in power then having the cat. or is it not a big different just sound?

Good question! It seems that both versions with cat and without need the defoulers, so might as well get the one without it!

Hope you like an exhaust smell that stinks to the high heavens. One of the reasons I got the Vibrant race header with a cat was so that it would have some emissions' compliance-OBD I, and it would provide cleaner exhaust fumes w/o the terrible smell associated with just a race header.

Since a race header with or without a cat is not OBD II compliant, you should probably use a defouler just to eliminate the dreaded CEL monster.

A defouler is a small, section of tubing that screws into the second O2 bung on the header. The O2 sensor is then screwed into the defouler. The defouler removes the O2 sensor away from the exhaust so that the ECU is tricked into thinking that emissions' levels are compliant. The main reason people do it is to avoid a CEL.

I can't remember the magazine, but it was either SuperStreet or Import Tuner, but they had a article regarding this same question. So they ran some test/dyno's etc, with no cat and with a high flow cat. And if I remember correctly, they came to the conclusion that the difference was very minimal and that balancing out the performance and being legal, that it just smarter to stay legal and theres really no point going cat-less, something like that. Does anyone remember this article?
