Exedy Clutches for Si

I emailed Exedy about their clutches after seeing Honda Tuning cover an install an issue or two ago. This is the response I got:

Yes, we have the 06 Civic Si Sports clutch. I do not know exactly what stage the magazine used, but we have stages 1, 2 and 3.

As you guessed, the RSX Type-S and 06 Civic Si have similar a set up, but not the same. In order to use our high performance kit for the Civic Si, you'll also need to use our forged flywheel.

Just wanted to share my findings with you. I didn't see the product on their website but I'm guessing they just haven't updated it. The grammar in the original message wasn't spot-on, so I'm guessing maybe Keisuke sent me an email from their quarters in Japan? Or he translated the best he knew how? Dunno, but if you guys want more info, I'll try to keep digging.

Stage 1: part # 08806
Anti-burst Organic Facing with high torque capacity sprung hub
disc, and
Heavy clamp load Pressure plate with anti burst nodular iron.
Stage 2: part # 08951
3 pack Cerametallic Facing with high torque capacity sprung hub
disc, and
Heavy clamp load Pressure plate with anti burst nodular iron..
Lightweight chrome-moly forged flywheel: part # HF02 (9.5 lbs)
In order to use our high performance kit (stage 1& 2), Civic Si need to
use our
chrome-moly forged flywheel (HF02).

Stage 3: part # HH03SD
Hyper Single (Complete modular of lightweight Chrome-moly flywheel
and
cerametallic disc and aluminum forged high clamp load pressure plate)
total
inertia (rotating mass) is less than stage 2 set up.

Stage 4: Twin plate set up will coming in this Summer.

Kevin is in the US. He works in Belleville Michigan but is a Japanese engineer. Exedy or Daikin Clutch corp is a japanese owned and operated company that supplies clutches to 85% of the OEM's(domestic and foreign) and Exedy is also owned by Daikin(Exedy is there performance division). Daikin sells ACT,Spec, Clutchmasters, etc all there clutch components then those said companies modify there products inhouse.

I am right near Exedy and I will believe that the SI clutch is the same as the ep3,dc5 clutch but it will require like Kevin said the use of there flywheel.
