Damn, right when I blow money on boost. O well, looks like these will be next on my list, but I'm gonna miss out on the special . One quick question, can someone explain how these hook up, like how do you run them? Don't you need that one bar (forget what it's called right now haha).

is that even safe? I mean i saw someone with that on the DC5..but I would think on the SI it woudnt be safe..

like idk..It seems that the racing seats with the slits in the seat would make it more worth it..and work alot better..cause woudnt you have the straps rubbing your neck if you put it thrugh the hole in the headrest?

IMO seats would be a requirement -- or a custom bar.

^well, with the passenger seat having the belt attached to the seat and not the chassis its proved impossible to install ours. I dont know what the long term solution is going to be for the car.

A 4 point harness will have the lap belt actually pulled up by the shoulder belt as your body moves forward in an accident. 4 point belts are banned in every sanctioned form of roadracing I know of for this very reason. 5 and 6 pt belts attach the crotch strap/s at the same point as the shoulder belt to prevent this and to prevent submarining, but hey, if you want to end up completely under your dash with massive internal injuries just so you can look "JDM COOL YO" then go ahead and be another natural selection statistic.

The only legit use for a 4pt harness would be as a device to hold you in place during autocross. Why not just add the crotch strap? Also, I see people mount 4 pt belts using the rear seat belts as anchor points and about a 45 degree angle downward from the shoulder. This will compress your spine and cause a lot of damage in an accident.

Normally I would never say something in someone's for sale ad, but this is a safety issue.

4 points, this is true... BUT

Thats why you buy the 5th point attachment --
http://www.corsportusa.com/store/cat...roducts_id=596

Or the 6 point attachment --
http://www.corsportusa.com/store/cat...roducts_id=597

Please refrain from "sharing your knowledge" in our sale forum on something you really didn't even take the time to realize we sell the full system and that its truly up to the customer to decide how they want to run their harnesses in their particular application.

There are lots of kids out there with APC (and such) 4 points and 3 points (gasp), we instead are selling the top branded race ready harnesses you can find, installing them correctly and safely is a requirement of running harnesses (this includes 5th points and harness bars and correct rear point "down" angles).

We never intended these to be run by themselves in a stock fg or fa. These are meant for those of you doing road racing or car shows where you need the harnesses, not for those of you with a DD.

Hope that helps clarify,
Tai

Whoever said anything about you not selling the rest of the system or what you intended for kids to do? It was just an FYI that could possibly save some kid's life. Is there something so terrible about that?
